Financing

We at Clarke County Properties can gladly suggest a number of different financing institutions to assist you if need be.  We would highly recommend that you begin with a pre-qualifying letter from your chosen lender stating the amount your bank has agreed to loan you for the purchase of your new home or land.  Given the the current real estate market,  your offer on a property must have this pre-qualiflying letter with it to be considered a serious offer.  As the market begins to turn around there may be multiple offers on a single property, and with the processing of these pre-qualifying letters taking anywhere from 10-30 days, you could miss the opportunity to place a solid offer on the property you have decided upon.  When you begin the serious search for a new home or property, this pre-qualifying letter should be in the process or, better still, in hand. 

When purchasing property in a given area, often times it is best to find a banking institution that is local and knows the area and even an in-house underwriter.  Lenders and appraisers that are not familiar with the counties you are purchasing property in, can slow the process down and not recognize the strengths and weaknesses of that particular county.  Of course, there are many instances when one must borrow from a large out-of-town bank, and certainly we have, and will continue to work well with those lenders, just as we do with all of the local banks.
